However you have nourished them until now, if you wish to discover the ultimate — the truth, the real — you must go beyond the senses. You do not quiet them through force, but through simplicity. By tasting little and pure, by no longer overwhelming yourself or dwelling in addictions to stimulation. By being quiet. By meditating. By speaking less, listening less, and turning inward more.

Let go of the constant touch, the gross sensations, the outer pleasures, and tune into your inner pleasure, the one that is always alive, always present, independent of the world.
