9/20 New Moon Update, You Are Perfect

astrology eraoflightNew Moon in Virgo, September 20, 2017, at 27 degrees.

New Moons are an opportunity for fresh new beginnings, and in the earth sign of Virgo, we can finally put both feet back on the ground, after the somewhat turbulent weeks and exciting changes since the Total Solar Eclipse in Leo, 21st August.  The Solar eclipse was a game changer with many experiencing new beginnings and endings, followed by the recent Full Moon in Pisces, that was emotionally sensitive and conjoined to Neptune, quite transcendental.

Now, we have a whole new shift of energy, as five planets have transitioned all into the practical and down to earth sign of Virgo. We can finally come back down to earth and find some calm and peaceful serenity, after quite the wild trip of the past six weeks. Many who have seen massive changes, can finally start to sort out the pieces of their new life and get to work to make it a success. It could be a new love, work, home or project. We can use Virgo’s eye for perfection, and savvy business know-how, to lay the foundations for future success, with fine planning and detail. Virgo needs order and cleanliness; It’s time to clean house and reorganize, in all areas of life.

Despite the earthiness of this New Moon, it is infused with a feeling of excitement and new beginnings, as Uranus makes an aspect both to the New Moon and Jupiter. There is an exuberant feeling of expansion, change and bravely pioneering new horizons. Uranus is part of a grand fire trine with Saturn and the North Node until October, promising us lasting success. Jupiter, the planet of good luck and fortune, has recently joined the grand fire trine, forming an aspect that looks like a kite, ramping up even further, your chances of success. A real window of opportunity, that we should now make the most of.

However, there are a couple of aspects that demand our attention at this New Moon, that help us to become aware of any blind spots that we might have, represented by the planet of Neptune that makes an opposition to the ruler of the chart, Mercury. Check your plans, communications with others to make sure there are no misunderstandings or someone promising more than they can give. Check the fine print.

Saturn in Sagittarius also in hard aspect to the New Moon, highlights the need to face and leave behind any delusions of self and others. As well as the need to have a discerning analytical mind when it comes to discerning fact from fiction and our tendency to succumb to manipulation, propaganda and fake news in the Media. We may have a sudden awakening as to how we may have been putting our faith in the false guru, politician, business partner or someone close to us.

Neptune in opposition to Mars the planet of action shows us the need to put our visions and plans into action.

“Action without vision is only passing time, vision without action is merely day dreaming, but vision with action can change the world.” – Nelson Mandela

The earthiness of this sign gives the grounded vision necessary to turn dreams into reality.

Mercury conjoined to Mars in Virgo, help us to analytically resolve any problems that could escalate into anger if not addressed. Resolve any misunderstandings by calmy and objectively stating any facts and the truth. Work towards finding solutions.

Virgo also rules health. Chiron the wounded healer and Saturn in a hard aspect to the Moon, brings into our awareness, the need to take responsibility for our health and healing of mind, body, and spirit, which is represented by the Virgo-Pisces axis. We can make new affirmations at this New Moon for a better life balance. Especially if we are feeling somewhat exhausted emotionally and physically from recent events. Any new health regime started now, will be blessed with long-term success. It’s time to heal mind, body and soul

Chiron is also drawing to our attention, how we may sometimes be too hard on ourselves, as we can often be our worst critic. Virgo, turning her need for perfection within, she can become self-critical, falling into patterns of doubt and uncertainty. Virgo who has an eye for perfection can be overly demanding on themselves and others, that restricts our inner child, creativity, and joy. It’s time to let go of the idea of perfection and self-doubt.

The Virgo New Moon also brings to light, any shadow Virgo issues of perfectionism that get in the way of giving our gifts to the world. “I’m not ready yet, I need to take another class/workshop/training, my skills aren’t perfect yet” etc. with fear often being behind these thoughts. The Virgo part of all of us is learning to understand perfection as a process and practice, not an end result, and the best way to perfect our skills is to use them. Start where you are, take the first small step, and then the next step will become clear.
